I had a wonderful experience staying at Thotupola Residence in Kandy. The location was beautiful, right on the riverbank, providing a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle of the city. The hospitality from the hosts was really good, especially when they helped my wife when she fell ill. The only minor downside was that it’s a bit outside of Kandy, but that added to its charm. Overall, I highly recommend this homestay.

My stay at Thotupola Residence was absolutely wonderful. The riverside location provided a peaceful environment, perfect for my family to unwind after sightseeing. While it’s slightly outside of Kandy itself, the beautiful garden and the sounds of nature more than made up for it. The food was very nice, but I wish we had more time to fully enjoy everything the residence had to offer.

I recently stayed at Thotupola Residence for two nights during my solo trip to Sri Lanka. The view of the river was absolutely amazing, and the hospitality from the family who runs the residence made me feel so welcome. However, I did experience a power outage during my stay, which made things a bit uncomfortable. Overall, it was a lovely experience with some minor hiccups.
